Squeeze is one of the great overlooked bands of the new wave era. Songwriters Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook were viewed by some critics as a sort of post-punk Lennon & McCartney, and even though they wrote some of the catchiest melodies of the late 70’s and early 80’s, they ultimately had to settle for cult band status.  Dive into any of their records (especially their first three or four) to hear their brilliance in full bloom.  From their 1980 masterpiece Argybargy, here’s “Pulling Mussels (From the Shell)”:

Brilliant Choice of Song for the Day! Squeeze is awesome and one of the most underrated bands in history! Not only was this song magic, every hot girl at my college loved to dance to this tune!
